In prairie dreams skies look bluer
The white clouds drift and fade away.
Day is calling from the doorway,
With a promise of adventure. In the distance rests my future,
Beyond dark worries of the night.
Dreams are calling from bright sunlight,
Past the shadows, beyond the fence.
Chasing dreams only I can sense
With arms outstretched, my soul takes flight!©2020 cj holm

Susi Bocks Haiku/Senryu 5/7/5 Challenge
Seen from my window
Bounded by four walls and sky
Moonlit moment’s flightCaptured for my dreams tonight
Restless moment, endless sight
