Out on the farm a dog and cat
No finer pals you’ll ever find.
Then the dog barked, you’re not my kind
How could the news be worse than that? The chicken called and so did the rat
It turns out now you’re not canine.
Then I’m told it seems you’re feline!
You never bark, you say meow
Still we are friends I will allow
I don’t care what others opine.©2020 cj holm
