*Stuart Glazer had the unfortunate assignment of trying to teach me music theory in college. While my desire was deep, my talent unfortunately wasn’t, but I am forever grateful that while he was unable to draw blood from a deaf turnip, he did manage to give me an appreciation of the harmony around me.

I heard a song
A simple melody
That held my thoughts today.
Like a breeze
It tumbled along
In perfect harmony.
When it soared
Through blue skies
The clouds drifted along.
And I dreamed
Of yesterday
With no plans in the way
With each verse
Wondrous sights
Changed my course and will
As I aged
The songs refrain
Grew sweeter with each movement
And my heart
Sang along
Till time went on it’s way
