Then Again

Day’s closing sunlight
Meets this evenings shade of blue
Young lovers must part.

Young lovers must part
Daylight memories remain
Thoughts cast to the night

Thoughts cast to the night
Fills the heart with pleasant dreams
Till night becomes day

Till night become day
And blue is lit by sunlight
Love begins again

Sunset

“Beyond The Sunset” Original Acrylic Artwork By Stuart Glazer* http://www.stuartglazer.com

In the brief moments of the sunsets glow,
As the sky moves from light to shadow.
Birds take to roost and conclude their chatters
While life take stock of all that matters.

Warm golden daylight gives way to darkened night,
A cold meditation of what went wrong or right.
Decisions made and placed aside,
Tomorrows coming, time to go inside.

“Ormsby – The Big O!”

Love’s First Spell

It was on an evening hayride
We were snuggled deep in straw
Our blankets were wrapped together,
As the wind was bitter and raw.

We traveled with the moonlight
As our heartbeats struck a single beat.
The revelers alongside us
Seemed to melt away- discrete

Her hair touched my cheek softly,
As we crossed a darkened road.
I brushed aside stray snowflakes
From red cheeks exposed to cold.

I think about that special night
When first loves was in the air.
In time I’d learn that love was fleeting
For those just learning to care.

I wonder where she is tonight,
I hope she’s doing well.
That though the year have come and gone,
I’ll remember young love’s spell.
