Ronovan Writes Haiku Challenge 312 – Intent / Thought

Distant meadowlark’s
Sweet singing captures my thoughts
-Who cares the intent

No reason for mountain view
No answers for a sunrise

Around Me…

so much happening while I stay home, avoiding the Corona Virus! In the background, the news drones on while elsewhere the death toll rises.

August whirlwinds drift
above farmer’s black tilled fields
-distant church bells toll

Prairie birds don’t heed the sounds
they’re just like the clouds above

Ronovan Writes Haiku Challenge 282 Haze / Sand

Alone in the haze
The loon’s night-call floats in air
-Sand sticks to my toes

Lapping waves and jumping frogs
Bits of sound, lakeside rhythm

Ronovan Writes Haiku Challenge 278 Vapor / Howl

Grey twilight vapors
drift on twisted woodland trails
-Black howls at night

Anxious souls hunt for refuge
Pounding hearts seek night’s cover
