white weather raging
carving frozen winter stage
-feathered windmills spin
October’s harsh wind
Precedes fall’s first killing frost
– Grey clouds give warning

The wind wailed across the prairie
Giving voice to a darkened sky
Calling to those that seem unwary
Pay more attention to its cry.
Watch the clouds that sail in air
And move from dawn to dark.
Grey mists that shade lights glare
And travel heavens graceful arc.
Feel the earth men glorify
And run through fields of green
Where skies are blue and birds still fly
So much is left unseen.
Of winter’s shadowy night
Brings peace to my soul
Quiet moments like this remind me that no matter what political storms blow, most are really only a temporary tempest that will fade into history. Even the most tempestuous gales eventually weaken. Things we hold most precious will survive!

Withered by the wind
Then burned by an early frost
Beauty holds my gaze
